Bungie, the well know software house that made games like Halo and Destiny, was joined in the 2010 to Activision Blizzard by a 10 year exclusive partnership. Two days ago they announced that the company are splitting up.
In the official communicate, they use peaceful words aimed at Activision but as Kotaku report, there has been years of tension between the two companies. The Destiny IP now belongs with full rights to Bungie which is also working on a brand new project thanks to $100 million fundings from NetEase.
Currently the Activision stock is down by 10%, today’s news from MarketWatch is that Activision is investigated for fraud. Should be nothing too bad, but this can impact again on the shares of the company further increasing the already serious loss suffered.
